The Spades

King of Spades - by Ivan J. Felder III

In the clouds I would be nestled, I would be the mighty sun, found only by the day.
Thus I’d watch as time goes by, Illuminated by every ray.  From brightness, I would never find my own penumbra, but that would be okay.
If only I were king of the clouds, King of the sun, King of the day.

Amongst the stars I would float, I would be the soft-lit moon, found only by the night.
I’d observe the playful whims of my fellow twilight sprites.
I would be eclipsed by many other entities, but that would be all right.
If only I were king of the stars, King of the moon, King of the night.

“Change your Life” is the theme of my card.

The spade represents my shell I keep on. The fire behind that shell represents the true me; bright, full of color and ideas. That’s what I need to change about myself, in order to “Change my Life”

Jack of Spades - by Min-Koo Jee

Two opposites are inside of me
White is good, black is bad. When I’m doing something in a good way, I’m thinking in a bad way.
When I’m doing something in a bad way, I’m thinking in a good way. White is a lie, black is the truth.
When I say it’s true, it’s a lie, when I say it’s a lie, it’s the truth. The card shows two opposite sides of me.

“One word frees us from all the weight and pain, that word is love.” This quote can really describe my card and my life. When I was making my card I wanted to show the feeling of love, because it really is a way to take you away rom all the weight and pain.  It gives you the greatest feeling no matter who it may be.

Seven of Spades - by Jeff Gallo

I believe no matter what you do or where you come from, humans are equal. We are human.

Six of Spades - by Sam Clarke

Five of Spades - by Dave Karp

The theme of this card is based on all aspects of life.  The different stages of age and the emotions expressed throughout life are displayed through the collage of pictures. Each individual image exhibits an event or action that occurs in life, and shows the corresponding feelings that people have in reaction to what life has to deal.

Four of Spades - by Zana Bass

Three of Spades - by Zach Goldstein

The scene represented on this card show a contrast of events in my life. The explosion in the center is representative of the chaos in my life, while the foliage along the sides represents the resolution of all my chaotic problems.

Two of Spades - by Peter Wac

For me, the two of spades represents the hard work it will take to get into the best college in the world.
