The Foundation selected the following eight outstanding candidates as recipients of
the coveted SDCF scholarship:

Antony Krumbhaar, Springfield Township High School (Montgomery County), PA;
Travis Pollen, Abington High School, Abington, PA;
Dara Roberts, Unionville High School, Kennett Square, PA;
Meghan Trahey, Henderson High School, West Chester, PA;
Elizabeth Wall, Upper Dublin High School, Fort Washington, PA;
Matt Zevin, Cheltenham High School, Wyncote, PA.
Andrew Cinderella, St. Elizabeth High School, Wilmington, DE.
Susanna DeLaurentis was a fifth-grade student at Elkins Park Middle School in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, when she died of cancer in November, 1999. Her teachers wished to honor her memory by starting a scholarship fund for graduating seniors who best exemplified the upbeat attitude, compassion, and academic persistence in the face of severe adversity that characterized Susanna during her long battle with cancer. The Foundation also funds research to find cures for fatal childhood diseases. |
